Also known as cornflower. It has been present in the British Isles since the Iron Age. Bachelor’s Buttons were brought to America in the 17th century. Plants are covered with true-blue, button-like flowers and attractive greyish-green foliage. Plants can reach to 30 inches tall and work great for backs of borders. Flowers can be used dried or fresh cut, while the edible petals make a colorful garnish.
