Di Cicco does not have uniform production which means the plant produces copious amounts of small to medium size heads well into the summer. A long harvest period means more tasty Broccoli, more often! An excellent Broccoli seed for springing, and a good freezer. Culture: Can be sown outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring 4 to 6 weeks before average last frost. Plants can be started indoors 6 weeks and harden before planting. Broccoli needs plenty of water, it’s a very thirsty plant. Keep the soil moist during the growing season, a layer of mulch can do wonders for retaining moisture. Harvest: We recommend you harvest the main head when it is 3″ in diameter – this will encourage more side shoots.
