This unique light yellow variety is known for its abundance of stringless, straight, flat, broad 5½” x 6″ pods, this snap bean is delicious, fresh and also great for canning and freezing. 15″-18″ (38-46 cm) vigorous upright self-supporting plants. Culture: Any good well-drained soil with a pH above 6 will grow beans. Beans do not tolerate cool wet soil. Sow seeds in a sunny location after soil has warmed (at least 50°F). Sow seeds 2″-3″ apart, in rows 24″-36″ apart in loose fertile soil and keep moist. Successive plantings can be made every three weeks. Water regularly and fertilize when 3″ (7.5 cm) tall. Harvest: Pick regularly when pods are plump. Nutrition: Beans are low in calories, yet a good source of fiber. Supplies calcium, phosphorus and moderate amounts of vitamins A and C.
