Flowers grow on rigid, towering spikes or spires which typically reach a height of 5’-8’ tall and usually do not require staking. This variety is one of the most popular hollyhocks, ‘Chater’s Double’ was named after the English horticulturist, Chater of Essex, who developed this variety in the 1880’s. Colors include golden-yellow, rose, maroon, salmon-pink, scarlet, and white.
