Fast growing annual. Large productive plants bearing long, tapering hot peppers. Deep green in color at first, they change to bright red when ripe. Culture: Start indoors a month before last frost date and transplant to fertile well tilled soil 18″-24″ (45-60 cm) apart. Tip: Lay black plastic mulch, cut 6″ (15 cm) diameter holes for pepper transplants, or sow seeds outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Harvest: Red when ripe. Uses: Dry & grind for Cayenne Pepper, tabasco sauce, spice up favorite recipe, sliver in salads, add color and flavor.
