Sweet frying pepper – a must in many Mediterranean dishes. Yellowish-green fruits 5″-6″ (12.5-15 cm) x 2½” (6.25 cm) smooth, wide at the shoulder, tapered to blunt ends. Considered mild pungent – medium thick waxy flesh. Fruits grow on 28″-30″ (70-75 cm) bushy plants. Everbearing. Culture: Sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Grow in full sun and keep soil temperature in the mid-70’s, space or till soil one foot deep (30 cm). Transplant to garden 2-3 weeks after last frost. Water regularly and fertilize when plants are 6″ (15 cm) tall and again in mid-summer. Harvest: Carefully cut fruit from plants when full size whether green or red, but before they begin to soften. Nutrition: Excellent source of vitamins A and C.
