Introduced at the turn of the last century, this is a gorgeous clear pastel pink variety with attractive rounded petals. So pretty and very fragrant. Originally bred and introduced by an amateur horticulturalist, Mr Viner in 1901. An annual climbing plant, growing to a height 3 ft–6 ft, where suitable support is available. Culture: Sow seed outdoors in early spring in a sunny location into well drained fertile soil. Prior to sowing, soak seeds overnight to facilitate germination. Provide plenty of water. Mulch roots to keep them cool. They do best in cool weather and in hot climates where there is afternoon shade. Produces long stemmed cut flowers.
