The plant is extremely vigorous and mounds up to 16” (40 cm) in height. Profuse bloomer produces beautiful, large double flowers of yellow, red, orange, mahogany and rose. A non-trailing, bush-type holds blooms well above the foliage. Excellent edging plant for flower beds and vegetable gardens. Makes excellent cut flowers. Young leaves and flowers are edible, have a flavor like watercress and may be used in salads. Culture: Can be started indoors in plantable peat pots. Do not disturb roots. Does not transplant easily. Sow seeds outdoors after soil has warmed where they are to grow. Fertilize when first buds open. Water every 10–14 days if rainfall isn’t adequate. A flower that attracts hummingbirds.
