Native to Central America including regions of Panama, and Guatemala. They have fine white hairs covering young growth, which matures to thick green stems. The leaves are oval. The blooms are clusters of florets that resemble large clover flowers with a papery-texture. They range in color from pink, yellow, white and lavender. They make great cutting flowers for summer centerpieces, and all sizes dry beautifully for use in wreaths and everlasting arrangements. For dried flowers, hang the flower bunches of stems upside down in a cool shady place. Use dried flowers still on their stems or remove the heads for craft use and potpourri.
