Small rosette heads, 4½” (11.25 cm) wide, outer leaves are smooth and dark green. This butterhead variety is longstanding, slow-bolting, bibb type with considerable heat resistance. Culture: Can be started indoors and transplanted or direct sown. Requires a rich, well drained soil, keep continually moist during the growing season. Root systems develop best when planted in spring. Harvesting: Successive plantings every two weeks till fall for a continuous supply. Pick when heads are full. Nutrition: Sources of vitamin A & C.
