Pink, red, rose, salmon, white and bicolors. This dainty, compact variety of Dianthus produces masses of bright, clear colored 1” (2.5 cm) flowers set against grass like blue gray leaves. Fragrant flowers from summer to fall. Culture: Sow seeds or transplant in fall (warm climate) or spring in well drained, neutral, sandy soil that includes humus. Heat and drought tolerant. Hints: Pinks can be divided and grow easily. Fine for edging and as a ground cover. Excels in rock gardens, borders, beds and pots. Cut flowers are long lasting.
