Culture: Requires very rich soil as squash is a voracious feeder. Sow 6–8 seeds in groups (hills) 18″”–24″” (45–60 cm) apart. Thin to 2–3 plants per group. Fertilize and water regularly from time of flowering until fruits ripen.
Harvest: Summer squash should be harvested frequently to encourage plants to continue producing. For the best taste and texture, harvest squash before they are too large.
