Is an heirloom Pattypan Squash that starts out pale green and changes to a smooth white finish when well on the plant, of deliciously tender and good quality flesh. This squash variety is easy to grow and produces high yields. With a delicious good quality flesh is Benning’s Green Tint Scallop an old-time favorite squash.
Culture: Requires very rich soil as squash is a voracious feeder. Sow 6–8 seeds in groups (hills) 18″”–24″” (45–60 cm) apart. Thin to 2–3 plants per group. Fertilize and water regularly from time of flowering until fruits ripen.
Harvest: Summer squash should be harvested frequently to encourage plants to continue producing.
Nutrition: High in vitamin C.
