This unique and delicious squash is so easy to grow. Vigorous spreading vines produces round cylindrical buff tan fruits, 8″-12″ (20-30 cm) long x 5″-6″ (12.5-15 cm) in diameter, 5-7 per plant. Culture: Requires very rich soil, as squash is a voracious feeder. Sow 6-8 seeds in groups (hills) 4′-5′ (120-150 cm) apart. Thin to 2-3 plants per group. Fertilize and water regularly until fruits ripen. Harvest: Between 95-110 days. When skin color changes from cream to buff. Keeps up to six months. Uses: Boil whole or bake. Flesh peels out in strands of low calorie spaghetti.
