A little smaller than some, this variety produces them in profusion. Bright pink flowers and a good scent brightens up any mixture. An annual climbing plant, growing to a height 3 ft 3 in–6 ft 7 in, where suitable support is available. Culture: Sow seeds outdoors in early spring in a sunny location into well drained fertile soil. Prior to sowing, soak seeds overnight to facilitate germination. Provide plenty of water. Mulch roots to keep them cool. They climb by tendrils and need to be supported. A wire fence works well. They do best in cool weather and in mild climates, sow in late summer or fall. If aphids appear, spray plants with insecticidal soap every 3-5 days. Produces long stemmed cut flowers.
