It produces magnificent, large, dahlia-flowered blossoms in a rich, purple hue on strong, tall plants and like most zinnias will be covered with butterflies. It will bloom freely from mid-summer until frost. Culture: Sow seed indoors 3-4 weeks before planting time. Transplant after soil warms, or sow outdoors when air temperature warms in rich well drained soil. Leave 8″-18″ between plants and water the soil surrounding the plants not the plants. Prefers morning watering on sunny days. Heat and drought tolerant.
